Small classes. Patient instruction.

Every workshop runs in our Alvin studio with a maximum of six guests. We supply clay, tools, aprons and glazing — you take home a finished piece a few weeks after firing.

Classes we offer

Choose what fits — most guests start with the Intro to the Wheel and come back for a half-day later in the year.

Intro to the Wheel

2 hrs · Up to 6

Learn centering, opening, pulling walls and trimming. You leave with one finished mug or bowl after firing.

Hand-Building Evening

2.5 hrs · Up to 6

Pinch, coil and slab techniques — perfect for a planter, dish set or small vase.

A relaxed evening at neighboring wheels. Includes refreshments and two finished pieces.

Inside the Clay Broussard studio

What to expect

  • Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting clay on.
  • Aprons, tools and clay are provided.
  • Plan for your piece to be ready 3–4 weeks after class (drying, bisque, glaze, firing).
  • Free on-site parking. Studio is on the ground floor, step-free entry.
  • Cancellations 72 hours ahead are refundable. Same-week cancellations receive studio credit.
